I have had two kidney stones, but have not had prostate surgery ...
That aside, I want to emphasize the importance of drinking water ... in order to help pass the stone.
Its passage can be difficult to estimate ... a day or two ... and even longer.
It can "lodge" and not "travel" ---- and can result in excruciating, sudden, and unexpected pain ---- that comes and goes, in sudden waves of pain.
In my case, one episode hit while I was busy teaching school. I got to the end of the day, and headed to the emergency room.
I wasn't sure what was happening to me ... bloody urine was the red flag on that one ... and a quick scan told the tale.
The second time I had a kidney stone, I was at a fancy restaurant.
I got through dinner, and ended up in the emergency room shortly thereafter --- the pain was intense, and unexpected.
I felt like my "waterworks" weren't flowing properly --- and a quick scan confirmed the reason why.
They will often give you a screened "strainer" so that you can ascertain when the stone actually passes ---- it will appear in the strainer, in time.
Typically, though, you will feel the stone passing through your "waterworks" --- and its a relief when it passes through.
For larger stones, it's important to seek guidance from an expert urologist.
Pesky and unexpected, kidney stones can really wreak havoc --- until they pass.
Tremendous feeling of relief, once that wretched stone passes through!
Meanwhile ---- above all else, as the motto says, "DRINK THE WATER !"
My best to you ~~~
