Thanks for letting us know what's going on in your life. I'm sure you're navigating things as well as anyone could. I hope your medical team is helping you to be as comfortable as possible. You continue to be an inspiration in resilience.

As another one of the "old timers" on this forum, I also sometimes think about the older crew, the names I recall from the past, certainly including yours, and wonder how they are doing.

We have even had a thread recently from compiler, another veteran PCa comrade of ours from the past, so it is indeed good to hear from old forum friends.

It's certainly concerning to hear how the Parkinson's is impacting you, David, but If I remember just one thing about you from your past posts, it's that whatever challenge you were facing at the time, you always handled it like a true warrior, and spit in its eye.

I have to believe that's what's happening right now, and that whatever you're facing now, you're giving it one heck of a fight.

Just out of curiosity, regarding submitting posts on chatrooms such as this one, I seem to remember in some thread from the past that it might have been you who was going to look into getting a voice-activated inputting app, such that all one needed to do was talk at the screen, and an app would enter the words onscreen, and submit them to a forum when the talker gave a verbal command to do so.

Are you using something like that right now, or do you have someone at the keyboard typing in your speech as you say it? Just wondering.

But again, it's good to hear from you, and I hope your health situation improves.

David, sorry you are still dealing with all these demons, but it sounds like you are handling it as well as you always did. Its good to see you post here.

81 - on the voice activated stuff, nothing works with me well, voice is too soft for such things to pick up my voice, even my wife's Alexa doesn't understand my voice..

Via the VA, I have good outside doctors that they pay for. 3 neurologists, motion specialists, pain doctor. All service connected via Agent Orange (the gift that keeps on giving). Funny, I got 100% P&T for the PC, but due to the way the VA accesses Parkingson's, they gave me 215% P&T for that alone.

Doctors call it the "Cruel Disease" or the "Malicious One". The Motor side is visible, but the non-Motor side might cover as many as 25 symptons that one can have. Some days more or less than others, they are all "invisible", but the patient realizes what is going on fully. And being a progressive and non-curable, it really gets into you.

I keep trying, no other choice that makes sense. Will be 69 soon, been fighting the fight since 2008. Just had our 47th Anniversery a couple of weeks ago, still hoping to make it to the 50th.

I don't drive much any more, only short local trips on better days. Have a nice Lincoln Continental Black Label the past 2 years, still have never seen another. Dealer beleivess mine was one of 50 made that year. With 400 HP, it's a rocket, but my street racing days are gone, lol. Boys and their toys,,its always been cars with me.

I see you Mel, see you are stilll kicking about too. What about Jet Guy or Sonny in FL?

Sorry to hear of your challenges, but glad to see you're still here to some degree. I hope you find ways to cope with the Parkinsons.

And congratulations on 47 years of marriage! That is an inspiring achievement. My wife and I just celebrated our 39th. We don't find a lot of long-term relationships any more.

David, thank you so much for checking in with us. I'm sorry to hear about everything you're dealing with, but I'm so encouraged by how you're handling this.

David so glad you checked in. I too am an old timer from 2007. I hope you make it to 50 years as well. Parkinson’s is a real dog. Hope your team can control the effects. If I remember correctly, your wife is/was a nurse. I am sure she has been a strong advocate for you. Praying for good for both of you.
