My 2-cents:
When diagnosed 4 + years ago, I was pretty healthy nutrition-wise. Only meat was chicken and salmon and tuna. Was doing 1-2 glasses of beer or wine per day, and as I would discover later, was doing way too much dairy. Since that DX day I've been 98% vegan, with no alcohol. Almost instantly, I dropped 20 lbs to 195 and have kept it under 200 ever since. Energy levels when I started this diet were much greater.
Now, after chemo, and a steady diet of Zytiga, prednisone, Lupron, Xtandi, Orgovyx, and Nubeqa, who knows how my diet is helping energy levels. BUT, I'm convinced it is helping--and that's the main thing. I've never once considered going off this diet, having a glass of wine, beer, etc. Not once. My wife is also vegetarian, as are most of our friends, so I know that makes it easier.
My PCa isn't likely affected by what I used to eat or what I've been eating since DX. There's a destiny thing in the mix here, according to my belief system. I think if I had any advice on the diet for all the brothers out there, it would be do consume whatever gives you the most energy, the strongest immune system, and the best outlook on life.
