Something I came across the other night that hopefully none of us here will need, because we probably have adequate insurance to cover our cancer costs, but which could possibly benefit others who are financially hard pressed due to costs of the disease.
It's a list of organizations offering financial assistance, in the form of no-need-to-repay cash grants, to cancer patients and their families.
https://cancercarenews.com/more-cancer-freebies/grants/From this website:
"All of the programs ... below are open to cancer patients and families in the US."
"These listings below are updated daily and include both nonprofit and private organizations whose mission is to ease the financial burden for cancer patients through free grants."
"The grants we’ve included here range from $200 to $5000 or more." Of course the recurrent qualifier, and rightly so, is financial need.
But also take a look at the "More Cancer Freebies" page on the above website, which even cites such things as sources for possible college scholarships designated for young people who have had cancer, as well as other areas, such as vacations, wish-granting, etc.
It looks like this website offers a wealth of no-cost services.
While perhaps just an information item for us here, if you do happen to know of someone who might benefit from seeing this website, you can certainly refer them to it.
