Not really sure what this is, but it seems like worth a mention since it involves something a reputable PCa organization is doing.
It seems that the Zerocancer website is holding what it calls a "Countdown to ZERO Variety Show" this Friday, December 31, from noon until 9PM on its website.
It seems to be an end-of-year fundraiser available for live-stream viewing on its website.
(Mods, okay to post about
this? It does involve fundraising, but this thread is about
how they're doing it, not asking for donations).
What's interesting about
it is the schedule of events they post:
Noon ET: Welcome to Countdown to ZERO with CEO Jamie Bearse, Livestream Fundraising Manager Jasef Wisener, & ZERO Champion Brian Jones
12:30pm ET: ZERO’s Champion Special
1pm ET: Variety Show
From their website:
"What better time to help prostate cancer patients than while we’re ringing in the New Year? Plan a watch party with your family and friends and tune in as we enjoy musical performances, comedy, cooking demos, and more in this one-of-a-kind live-streamed event featuring talented individuals and groups from the ZERO Cancer community."The "variety show" is detailed, and no big-time Hollywood stars are presenting, but maybe the whole thing is just curious enough to warrant a look. Especially since it just involves going to the Zerocancer website to see what this is.
Anyway, information on this is available at
https://zerocancer.org/why-zero/newsroom/newsletter/zerohour-december-2021-issue/(Once there, page down to "Ring in the New Year With ZERO")
If you have time this Friday, maybe worth a few minutes to check it out, just to see what it is.
