As several others, I do not post a lot and when I do it's generally to pass on my new information in hopes it may help the newer members.
When I entered this club back in 2017, it was with the following information following my biopsy:
5 of 8 cores positive, 3+3, 4+4, 4+5, 3+4 and 3+4. The 4+5 was highest percentage at 42 percent, so I was, at that time, a G9. Almost went RT, Brach and ADT but at last minute decided on surgery. Following surgery I was downgraded to a G7, pT3b (ECE + SVI). For one year post op my PSA was undetectable then at one year time PSA was noted. We decided to implement SRT upon the rise to 0.03 and opted for 6 months ADT. Since the end of the ADT, I have been undetectable.
This week, I received the results from my first 6 month spaced uPSA: < 0.006
Had URO visit today and his first word spoken was excellent. He stated that being undetectable for 2 years following end of treatments was considered a positive indication for the future. I am now still doing 6 month PSA checks and was moved to annual appointment .
I don't stress about my situation as all I can do is play the cards dealt, but from a G9 to G7 pT3b with current status, I feel blessed beyond words. I am a realist, so God willing, when I reach 5 year point I can begin to think in terms of remission.
If you are new don't fall into the dark side as all of us in "The Club" have at one time or another. Reach out to the fine outstanding, knowledgeable members of this site. None here are doctors, I certainly am not, but their wisdom can certainly ease a troubled mind. We are all holding each others hand down this path, don't break the link.
Sorry for the length. Hope it helps someone. God bless all. Regards.
