Adding new drug to Lupron

Any folks taking a second drug with Lupron who are new to PCa . My ono wants to start adding drug not sure of name yet will find out today. Lupron has lowered my PSA from 34 to .2 in 5 months. The drug was usually for folks who have become resistant and now is being added earlier. Comments or experience welcomed.

I wonder if that is Xtandi or Zytiga? Both are drugs that can help with the PC and psa. I had to quit Xtandi due to side effects, but it has helped keep my psa undetectable for over 3 years after stopping, and I now am on Lupron only. There are quite a few of us on this forum who have taken xtandi and or zytiga along with Lupron. Hope that it helps you as well.

Yes, as Michael says, it likely will be Zytiga, Xtandi, or Erleada. They are commonly prescribed for use with Lupron much earlier than they were in the past. Lots of guys here are very successfully using these medications.

I just had Erleada (Apalutamide) added to standard ADT (Lupron) by my oncologist at U of AZ. I read that the TITAN trial showed it is effective for metastatic hormone sensitive prostate cancer and not just non-metastatic hormone resistant prostate cancer. I've only taken it for 4 days and have noticed slightly more fatigue but fortunately no other side effects yet.
