When I first joined up here, I was in the midst of treatments, after facing a tough diagnosis.
It was ALWAYS helpful - finding there were OTHERS --- going through treatments.
Along the way, each story of treatment success --- an encouraging PSA test, some good news from one's doctor, the final round completed in a series of treatments -- instilled HOPE for me --- as I was forging through some tough treatments.
Samster --- your latest post is inspirational --- because it represents long-term treatment success. BEYOND a decade! Tremendous news!
I'm stepping into my ninth year of survivorship, and see my main oncologist each month. That might sound like a lot of appointments for some fellows, but this plan is what has helped me maintain my healthcare goals.
Since diagnosis, I was asked to visit the lab each month, like clockwork.
This past week, after all these years, my oncologist stated he would change the lab schedule to just six times a year now! Hey, it's the little things!
Appreciative of your post --- we ALL benefit from stories of long-term treatment success --- and your story helps keep that BEACON OF HOPE IN THE LIGHTHOUSE brightly lit!
Thankful to read your update today!
It was a GOOD DAY to read your GOOD NEWS, Samster!
