I'm 68 years old and I was diagnosed with aggressive stage III C prostate cancer in 2/2022
Adenocarcinoma, (Gleason score 7 (4+3, grade group 4) size 4.5 mm
Adenocarcinoma, Gleason Score 8 (4+4, grade group 3) size 7 mm
Adenocarcinoma, Gleason Score 6 (3+3, grade group 1) size 0.2 mm
Adenocarcinoma, Gleason Score 9 (4+5, grade group 5) size 3 mm
PSA Level
2/26/22 4.2
12/15/21 5.37
11/19/21 5.6
7/16/21 4.08
4/13/21 4.4
1/31/19 3.3
1/26/18 2.8
12/15/16 1.8
My urologist gave me two options. Robotic Radical prostatoctomy or Radiation treatment. Before my diagnosis I made my mind up to have surgery to get rid of the cancer from my body. Not sure what treatment to choose. I hope to live another 20-25 years.
---------
Today I have seen my radiologist/oncologist. His treatment plan is aggressive due to my Stage III C cancer and high Gleason score 8-9
start with hormone therapy for 2-3 years
in few weeks into hormone therapy he'll start PHOTON based VMAT radiation for 4 week, 5 session per week
At the end of this week I will talk to my urologist (surgeon)
Now I'm so confused about what treatment option should I choose.
Thank you for your advise/input in advance
