My amazing journey continues, My latest blood work reveals PSA ,0.014(undetectable). It is amazing because of my dire diagnosis in November 2012, PSA 71.5, Stage 4, cells escaped tumor and spread to 6 bone metastases. Gl 4+3 in 75% of 3 of 12 biopsy samples. So today I rejoice in the undetectable result, but always keep in mind others and still pray for those in more dire status.
I heard a song today and if Mods permit, just want to repeat some of the lyrics for ya'll. (Rule #6 necessitated some deletions)
"In your hurting, in your sorrow, I pray for your healing
That circumstances would change, I pray that the fear inside would be gone
I pray that a breakthrough would happen today, (like LU-177)
I pray miracles over your life. "
My Doc says I am rare and have reacted with more sensitivity to the treatment of Zytiga and it is working for me a lot more than for others . My bone mets are currently dormant, in remission, but always susceptible to break out, and indeed Stage 4 is considered incurable. Managing it for now, is the term they use.
Yet still, l believe my circumstances have changed since diagnosis, from an Urologist(that I fired) expectation of 3 to 4 years left, to an undefined time until that time comes. New drugs, treatments, and breakthroughs are occurring over the past 10 years. I do consider my life after diagnosis as a miracle,
As always, I am keeping the faith!
