OT: Not really on prostate cancer, question about a missing poster

I'm quite sure you're thinking about Purgatory, who was for a long time both a regular and a prolific poster here on the forum. We also have known him here by his first name, David.

It's true that he has been longsuffering from some serious health issues, including Parkinson's as he told us once, and he has decreased the number of posts he had been making here because of the increasing limitations his ailments have imposed on him.

Hopefully he is reading this now, and can reply for himself, as he has sometimes done in the past when his name has come up.

I tried his email a few months ago, and didn't get a response. Of course, I also searched obituaries and didn't find anything. I would love to know if he's still hanging on. Hopefully someone is in contact, (maybe by an actual telephone call???!) who can give us an update.

I have emailed David a couple of times and unfortunately did not get a response. I certainly hope he is OK and wish he would drop in and say hello.

The last I remember hearing from Purg was that it had become very difficult to use the keyboard because of his Parkinsons. He has endured a lot, much more than I think I could handle, and I hope he's still hanging in there.

I've several time had the thought that those of us who have been around for a long time might advise our wives or other loved ones how to post a message here in the forum when we eventually pass away. Morbid, maybe, but still possibly a good idea?
