Well, my PSA is rising again, which means new scans (Pylorify-PSMA), a return to HT after a 3 1/2 year vacation, and, depending on scan results, possibly SBRT. I live in Michigan. My scans and SBRT would be done at Umich, 120 miles away. Dr. Lam (Marina del Rey, Ca) is my MO. Locally, I've gone through 3 MOs (they keep leaving) and I haven't seen my urokogist for 3+ years. My PCP has retired, so I have a new one. So...it's time to get a new MO and to fill my urologist in on my history as I'm sure it is long forgotten. Basically, I need to fill in 3 doctors regarding my status.
So, it has been almost 13 years since my dx. I decided to attempt a one-page summary of everything. When I did it, it struck me how "lucky" we are that in PC at least we have an easy blood test marker that in most cases is a very reliable indicator of our status. My summary has a lot of PSA results (I have a spreadsheet that tracks it from 1995 on). Anyway, I already met with my new PCP and she really liked the summary. I had a copy and we went through it in about 10 minutes. I then figured it might be useful to share on HW. Here it is.

It needs to be ZERO with no prostate.
Had SRT (Salvage Radiation Therapy) locally. It failed completely (didn't miss a beat). This was my last curative bullet.

Dr. Lam (prostate oncology specialist in Marina del Rey, Ca.) recommended I try Avodart (and later on added Metformin, both off-brand as research shows some effectiveness vs. PC). Helped briefly but eventually:

1/2//2013.....10.08
11/30/2012...9.00

4/19/2013...........0.57
te: “<” means UNDETECTABLE.
Went on HT vacation (SEs are miserable) 1/2014 I THINK.
10/2014 PSA started rising. Had C11 Scan at Mayo (best available). Found small spot in one external lymph node.
Back on HT. And: Had SBRT at UCLA (Dr. Chris King).
Good response.
Fall, 2018—did Ga-68 PSMA Scan (best around) at Umich. Found 2 spots. Again, accessible via:
1/23/2019 SBRT at Umich.
PSA great until recently:
4/28/22..............1.48
1/27/22..............0.87
8/27/21..............0.47
Will have PSA on 6/20/2022. Will do Pylorify-PSMA Scan (best available!) at Umich a week later unless a large PSA drop. That's it!
