Today I am officially among that near to 100% people who survive 5 years after a diagnosis of localized PCa. Not less importantly, I am especially glad I have also survived from "other causes".
Actually, my biopsy diagnostic of a couple of cores with a slight amount of G6 was kind of relief after my previous mp-MRI showed an large area suspicious of significant PCa. A few months later, my path report mainly aligned with the MRI results assigning a worrisome primary pattern G5 to a relatively large, though localized according all features, tumor.
Post surgery psa readings have also been confusing due to the lack of accuracy of the tests and the way they are reported, never including a <. It took me some time to calm and realize other patients taking tests in the same place get similar values.
I do not know if my story brings anything more than confusion, but I have learnt a lot from other's experiences and maybe my reports can also useful to some. Good luck to everyone dealing with this difficult to qualify desease.

Congrats! We both had findings with Gleason 5 and are now 5 years post-op with a PSA of about
0.03.
I'll meet you here for good news in another five years!
