Has anyone in Canada(or the US) had any experience with the Immune checkpoint inhibitors & genetic testing?
Per our conversation, here is the information about treatment with Immune checkpoint inhibitors- they are approved for advanced prostate cancer that has specific genetic alterations
Pembrolizumab (Keytruda)- high microsatellite instability (MSI-H), DNA mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR), or high tumor mutational burden (TMB-H)
Dostarlimab (Jemperli)- DNA mismatch repair deficiency (dMMR)
So, if you are interested in treatment with ICI, please get genetic testing done asap. You can ask your oncologist about this option.
