Hello

I stopped in to say hi and give a little update. 2022 came to an end with me getting a new knee and a new kitten. Today is my 2 week post op. I am doing pretty good. My range of motion is about 120 degrees. Pretty good for 2 weeks. I am so impressed with how much stability I have. I think I will be happy I elected to do this. The kitten is tearing the hell out of everything and is pretty fun to watch. We have so many mice out here we probably need a few more cats but the eagles keep the cat population down. We will be going to Oahu to visit thr grandkids in March. I suppose we will visit the daughter and son in law also. It is good to have something to look forward to. We still need to visit Maui but that may be put off until the family moves back to Washington. Oahu is not where we would choose to go but that is where the grand daughters are so that is where we will be going.

To be honest I am not really in to travel these days. I like being home. It is peaceful here and I don’t have to be around people. Mandy needs vacation though so we will go. I am looking forward to seeing the WWII history. I use to have most of the WWII pacific fleet in plastic models when I was a kid.

I am adjusting to retirement as good as can be expected. It’s kind of boring especially in the winter. I leaned out the number one cylinder on my snowmobile and melted a hole in the piston the first run of the season. %$@# Polaris. I knew I should have bought an artic cat. I started to tear it down before surgery but it will be a couple weeks before I get to it again. I have a small shop set up in the garage and my favorite recliner sits between the tool chests and the Harley’s. I turn the heater on kick back in the recliner and look at the bikes and the broken sled. Mandy bought me a couple of books to read while recovering from surgery so I bring one out to the garage and I am in my happy place.

My brother recently was diagnosed with colon cancer. Alll indications at this time point to a curable scenario but we all know how that goes. Only God knows what his prognosis really is. Time wil tell.

My last oncology appointment was 2 months ago. Everything looked pretty good. I had a couple flags on my CBC for high premature lymphocyte's or something similar.

Todd, when you put a recliner between the tool chest and the Harley, you have then mastered retirement. Good to hear from you and enjoy the grandkids and Hawaii.
