Blood clots Help

Broken record here sorry:
I voided a whole day with clear yellow urine and once in a while a small amount of blood. This morning I felt like it was not coming and so I strained and a clot came followed by a lot of blood. I know it's something I have to accept until I see the specialist but it is very distressing. it's sorta like the sword of Domecles.
The fact is it is taking an emotional toll. I choose to write about it here because many have been through this and secondly, my wife is empathetic and I do not want to upset her.
As I've said before, I can accept the pain, the blood and having to go to the bathroom so often but greatly fear being blocked again. That was an awful pain and sick feeling.
Well I see the specilist on the 28th and hope he can offer me some direction and hope. From what I have read, the full surgery is the most successful but it's a tough deal afterward with cathether etc..
I hope for a less invasive "fix"

I am so sorry you have this ongoing problem. I can only imagine the stress and how scary this must be for you. It is terrible you have to wait so long for your appt.
I will say extra prayers for you.

Last night and this morning I'm all clear.
Pushing fluids and taking cranberry juice and pills. Not much else to do.
Weird how it goes from mostly blood and clots to clear urine.

I've given thought to taking a few days off of the Xaralto but risking a stroke is jumping out of the frying pan. I have AFib hence the reason I'm on the blood thinner.
Then again I'm not sure if it would work. Thinner blood may actually be an advantage since it inhibits clotting. On the other hand, maybe the bleeding will stop if I stop the blood thinner?
Hmmm what to do?
Do nothing is my guess.

After three weeks clear, the blood and heavy clots came back with a vengeance yesterday. Its now been clear since early evening, and if this trend continues it will return in another 2-3 weeks. I'm always trying to think what could be the trigger, but nothing comes to me. I've had no alcohol or caffeine since Feb 1. Given that it was again a bad instance, I think I'll need to take some action. Mayo had recommended heavy dose vitamin C and E twice daily. And also recommended the hyperbaric chamber. Time to explore that and get the details. I know its a big time commitment.

I see specialist on Tuesday.
Of course snow is forecast but not a lot of snow. It's about a 45 to 50 miles drive.
Hopefully the Manhattan office will be repaired before any surgery is scheduled.
