Normal Body Temperature??

Something I've been thinking about. My normal body temp was about 98.6...until 2010, shortly after completing my SRT (IMRT, 37 sessions). Suddenly, I felt completely normal at 97.3. Ever since, if I add 1.3 to my temp, it reflects how I'm feeling. So, to a doctor I'm doing great at say 99, but I would feel quite feverish (like 100.3).

Maybe a year or two ago, I read an article that said avge body temp is below 98. I asked some folks that were taking temps (Covid protocols) and they agreed. They saw a lot of 97.X temps.

So, how about you folks. What is your "normal" (ie: when relatively healthy) body temp? Have any of you followed my path (normal of 98.6 until after radiation).

98.6 degrees Fahrenheit was the widely accepted number originated from a study done in the mid-1800s.

New red studies suggest the average person today actually runs a little cooler than that – somewhere between 97.5 F and 97.9 F.

Everyone has their own ordinary temperature and trying to fit into an average is not useful because age also it’s own averages. People over 65 range 96.4 to 98.5.

patrickm, it looks like you aren't on any ADT. Is this true?
I'm asking because I had to give up giving blood10 years ago when I went on Lupron.
I was right at 7 gallons back then.

Finished radiation a little over a year ago. A few months left on Orgovyx. My temperature has always been in the range of 98.5-98.7 no change after radiation. My temperature has never been lower. If it goes above 99, I am sick. My wife also had radiation. Her temperature always is lower. She runs between 96.8 and 97.2. Also, no change after radiation. As far as wearing sandals, living in Tucson, I wear them all year. Lets my bunions breathe.

Time of day is a factor. My temp is below 98 most mornings

My wife’s body temp is quite low. When visiting the doctor’s office that forehead scanner doesn’t work on her and they have to use the under-the-tongue method. She’s like a 96.8 or somewhere around there.
