Wayne, I cannot say for sure, but as far as I know, inflammation does not cause a rise in PSA. That is the case with some cancer markers for other cancers, for example, CA 125 for Ovarian Cancer. But I do not believe it to be the case for PSA.
I looked back and saw from your previous posts that you are Gleason 9, so that's a consideration, putting you at higher risk. But there is a lot that the Dr.s can do these days, beyond Lupron alone.
Try to not dwell on it (yeah I know ) your appointment is Monday, so at least you won't have to wait too long. Let us know what the oncologist has to say
