pluvicto

This is Judym. My husband was age 51 diagnosed with pca in 2011. Had radiatiion, lupron, zytiga, chemo, 2 clinical trials still fighting but at the end. He had jaw surgery 10/31 for necrosis due to xygeva. Since then has lost almost 30 pounds has no appetite or strength. Also out of breath after getting up We have seen numerous doctors, pulmonary, caridiologist, oncologist, had recent colonoscopy and endoscopy, scans of liver due to high enzymes. He was on antibiotics for the jaw surgery and they initially thought that was what was causing weight loss, now unknown. He was originally diagnosed in 2011, psa 22, gleason 8-8. He went through all treatments including chemo with no problems but now going down hill fast. Next step is Pluvicto..Any thoughts from anyone on this treatment?? Thanks

Judy, welcome to the forum. Sorry your husband is going through this, and especially that he was diagnosed at such a young age.
I don't have any experience about Pluvicto, so cant really comment, but I'm guessing you will see some responses here in the next few days with first hand experience.

I've had great success with Pluvicto, which I've documented in the HW forum under both LU-177 and Pluvicto headings. I have, in fact, done six treatments of LU-177 (at UCLA in a special compassionate use program, prior to FDA approval) from August 2021 until March 2022. PSA went from 65 to 0.65(!).
Then in May 2023, PSA climbed to around 300 before I was approved for a Pluvicto series of six more treatments. My last treatment (my #12) was December and PSA has fallen to around 8.
See my previous posts for all the specifics on how treatments went, symptoms, etc. But I made it through 12 treatments of this and it's worked great each time. Wishing you and your husband all the best. Steve

Hi judym I understand where you are coming from. I was Dx in 10/2011, and have been threw many of the things you have described. I started Pluvicto Jan23 with psa 150. And just had tx #6 in Jan 24, this past summer was difficult with two hospital stays which held up doses 4-6 tx. at BJC St, Louis. current psa is 0.5. they told me I was a super responder. That made me get up and ring the bell. after 13yrs. I know I will never be free. But it made me feel good. I would encourage you to try.
