Are there any other blood tests that can detect prostate cancer?
I know PSA can tell you something is wrong with your prostate,
and the CTC test (circulating tumor cell) can tell you there is a cancer present.
Can this one be examined to determine specific cancers?

But are there any other blood tests that indicate your prostate cancer is on the move?
And I know there are certain tests in the CBC and CMP that indicate something is wrong somewhere.

But is there anything specific to metastatic PCa?
I have widespread metastatic nodal PCa.
At least blood tests are less expensive than scans.
I am just tired of spending so much money on scans!

Alephnull, a new blood test is in research now to detect metastatic PC. It is called EnhanceAR-Seq. However, I don’t believe that test can determine where the cancer is. I found that answer on the Siteman site.

However, I am not aware of staging being done via blood test or being able to detect specific locations of metastasis. For PCa, I think the best for that is PSMA PET scans but they require PSA to work. It may be that more effective tracers or equipment can be developed but most depend on cancer activity relative to other cells to locate.

The test above may direct one to the organ that has suspected cancer for further investigation. May be better than monitoring the elusive PSA over time if a test can say there is something of the cancer variety going on in the prostate.

Well, it’s been four months since I last posted.

The day after my last post I was fired from my job.

One of the best things to ever happen.

Later that month I received a PSA test, UNDETECTABLE BABY!!!

So that made two years of undetectable.

Previous two years I had been on Xtandi. This drove my PSA down into the depths.

I asked to go in a treatment vacation.
Oncologist said yes.

No xtandi, no orgovyx.

Two weeks ago my PSA test came back undetectable again.
And my T level has risen to 55,

I’m happy!!
I’m retired and still breathing.

I missed you guys!!
