JAPS, I was on Lupron for 21 months and I did some kind of workout everyday. For muscle strength or keep my muscles from atrophying significantly I would do 12 sets of 25 push-ups with 6 sets of modified pull-ups to max (usually 25 to 35), then 6 sets of rows with 25 lb dumbbells. That was my chest and back day. My shoulder and arm days were a variety of bicep and tricep curls. After each workout, I would do core work which comprised of a variety of 6 different types of core exercises with 25 reps. After my core workout I would go for a couple mile walk or a 45 minute FreeStrider Aerobics workout. Yeah, it was probably crazy, but I felt that I needed do my battle.
From the end of April to the beginning of November (if there was no snow on the ground) I played 18 holes of golf. When I did my 44 treatments of radiation, I went play golf after 3/4 of my treatments.
So, I would say you can do workouts while on HT and RT. After completing my workouts, I was tired, but felt great. There were days that I didn't feel like doing my workout, but I forced myself to get down to my workout room and bust it.
Unfortunately, I had to have my right shoulder replaced this past January 2nd. But, 2 weeks ago, with the surgeons permission I've resumed my FreeStrider aerobics workouts and my core workouts.
I say go for it!!!!
