Relugolix

JAPS, Relugolix or Orgovyx, dropped my testosterone and PSA to zero after RA. It was easy to take the one pill a day for 18 months. SEs included; loss of body hair, growth of breast, hot flashes, testes shrunk to raisins, absolutely no libido, and lack of energy in the afternoon. All of those were manageable and my wife helped me through it. The one SE I didn’t have that others here report while on different forms of ADT was brain fog. After getting off Orgovyx my testosterone recovered quickly and all of the other SEs, except larger breasts, have recovered as well. Going on ADT is certainly an experience that I won’t forget. However, I won’t hesitate to go back on Orgovyx if my PC returns.

JAPS, I believe that the hot flashes came on within a few weeks. The rest took several months to be fully developed. Your six months should come and go quickly. You haven’t given your diagnosis with PSA and biopsy results. Just curious why you will only be on ADT 6 months.

JAPS, thanks for the expanded history. I thought you were newly diagnosed. Your history explains the 6 months of ADT and RA. There are several here that have had the surgery and follow up RA and ADT. Hopefully they will help you with any follow up questions you may have. Interesting that the MRI showed the prostate bed was clear, but RA will be directed there. Lymph nodes?

MRI of prostate bed completely clear including nodes. Dr feels since it can’t be located by the scan and mri that the logical source would be the prostate bed. They did find something suspicious at T9 in spine but couldn’t identify what it was so I will have a biopsy of that spot and then final decision on treatment
