My biopsy went well yesterday. The day started with a small breakfast at 5 AM then a fleet at 6 AM. I had to be at the hospital by 8 AM for an IV for antibiotics, reason for this was on my last echocardiogram it showed some mild valve regurgitation. The IV took three hours to complete. I was then off to the doctors office for the biopsy for 11 AM. A little wait and I was call in. DR Ellis gave the local as two shots after the probe was in. The whole biopsy lasted about 25 min’s with him taking 10 samples, no pain just the rubber band sound. After he was done, I had to wait 15 min’s to make sure my BP was fine and I was able to pee, before going home. Dr Ellis said the prostate was enlarged and the samples will be review by no less then four pathologists. The only problem, I had was colon spasms, feeling like I had to got but nothing there, this soon stopped after having a sandwich and a BM.
Now, the wait until Friday!
