Lyn,
Unfortunately the available tests don't always give clear cut answers.
PSA tests can sometimes vary a lot due to other conditions, infection etc. I'd be asking about having another one done.
Biopsy can cause infection problems in a small % of cases. A small tumor can be missed although this has recently become less likely with 12 samples often taken.
"Medical News Today" has an article about the Diagnostic Center for Disease which claims to have very accurate non invasive equipment. www.mrisprostatecancercenter.com
Sound advice is that choice of doctor is most important, regardless of treatment method chosen.
I always suggest people obtain the book, "Prostate Cancer Prevention and Cure" by Lee Nelson. It answers a lot of questions on diagnosis, stages, treatment options, lifestyle changes, nutrition, supplements etc.
