All, just an update. I had surgery on 27 Sep....everything was perfect (textbook case). I used several pads a day, and now almost 2 months later, down to one...but I can see progress (although very slow). I did go bike riding 40 days later with absolutely no problem. Since my surgery, I have received several calls from friends of friends etc asking questions on the procedure.
I feel like an advertisement for the robotic surgery. Many have gone to the same doctor, Jason Engel at GW in Washington, DC. All with similalr results. Its hard to believe people who are eligible and who's insurance would pay, still opt for the "open" route. The healing time and pain free aspects of robotic are far superior...but I can understand those who have other issues. I never even needed so much as an aspirin!
Still awaiting my 3 month appt for the "0" score on PSA.
