We don't know exactly - because it's undetectable!!!
Just got back from Austin, yesterday afternoon.
This is a huge WOOHOO for us, as many of you know. As you can see in the new "sig," we moved from a tiny little 10% of 1 core at the biopsy to a huge old 75% of entire gland consumed (at pathology. (We apparently were in the "exploding" type of prostate cancer group; not the slow-growers that are most common.)
The support here is fabulous - and we will be hanging around to contribute what we've learned - and will learn more as we move forward. While we remained generally positve the last 8 weeks, we also had the "dark side" where we imagined this first PSA to have bloomed to a 23 or something. Plus, we will always have a bit of dread for the next PSA testing, knowing that there are a few cells lurking in the system. There is, obviously, a higher chance of it returning.
We're still letting it sink in - knowing we are technically cancer-free and not quite believing it.
We've also had some increased leakage and more frequent urination and I'm starting another thread on that issue.
Our grateful thanks to all of you - this is the best forum with the best people.
