Hi Everyone,  Shepla Here, aka Mike K.    I had my open RP on thursday Oct 12  and I am doing Pretty Well. The Cathater comes out Monday the 23rd. I am walking and eating  almost anything I want. The Doc says it went real well! He left the Two nerve bundles, took out nodes and entire prostate.I got out of the hospital Sat, which I thought was pretty fast But turned out to be very ready! Hey, Shepla. Congrats for getting over on this side! 56Pontiac has been checking in, but haven't heard from Birdland, yet. You guys kept us on edge all week. We know about those street and highway bumps - they're pretty awful, but glad you made it home in one piece.

This is a very good day now that we've heard from all 3 of you who had your surgeries on the 12th. welcome to the other side Mike! Monday will be here before you know it. Did you, Birdland and 56Pontiac meet in the halls? take care, kat

M. Kat 56 pontiac is in Oregon I was at Sloan and I think Birdland was in NYC too. So I walked by this one guy I asked Birdland ? but no answer just a funny glance!! So I just hobbled off down the hall. 2 positives in biopsy gleason 3+3=6 RRP 10/12/06 Shepla

You had a James Eastham surgery that went "real well" which means you're on your road to a complete recovery. The energy level picks up each week. Continue the walks...the pace will quicken.

James Eastham was a Terrific Person and it went as good as we had hoped. He took time to talk with my family and told them very good news and me the next day when I woke up. He said he saved all the nerves everything is like it was before except no prostate and lymph nodes. Walking is my new exercise! I love it. Thanks Shepla

Hi Mike,

Glad you are home, and survived the bumpy streets of mid-town for an hour and a half? Probably was rush hour traffic. Now all you need to do is rest and eat lots of protien rich foods. Good luck, and I Hope your recovery is a speedy one.

WOW>… Monday is just around the corner!  Really glad to hear things are going well.

 

You definitely are feeling our prayers because they are comin’ to you from all over the place.

Did you feel the breeze on your face today while walking???  That’s all the prayers surrounding you.  Just letting you know we are thinking of you each and every-day.
