I had to go back to the doctor on an urgent basis this past Thursday - with a problem he had never seen as a result of surgery. Basically, the end of my urethra had started to clos off, causing tremendous back-pressure in the penis. It was not a blod clot or anything, but rather a restriction in the tube itself.
It took me a bit to convince him that it was not referred pain from the bladder pressure normally felt post-surgery. Anyway, once I told him the symptoms (very small high-pressure stream and getting smaller, lots of back-pressure, bulging penis, and a fair amount of pain), he scheduled me for surgery the next day (Friday). It was a really quck procedure to cut the obstruction. I was only under for about 30-45 minutes. And I only had a bit of pain for the first day afterwards.
Now it feels pretty good.
But there is BETTER news. Since I was in his office last Thursday, they decided to test my PSA even though they normally like to wait for three months to make sure residual PSA has cleared the system (and it has just been 5 weeks). Anyhow, the PSA tested at "zero."
As you can imagine, I am feeling pretty good!
