Jet,

Anyone who lived up north back in the 60s would remember a guy named Tom Dulie, not the guy from the song "hang down your head Tom Dulie" but a guy who did radio and TV commercials for Sunkissed orange juice. He used to say "Come on down!" refering to Florida. So to quote Mr. Dulie, "COME ON DOWN!!!!" Florida isn't a bad place to hang out and yes we do have excellent Cuban food here. I love it! To anyone who hasn't eaten it, its not spicy like Mexican, just tasty! Good cow!

I have finished my eighth week of radiation treatment and have one week to go.  All goes well.

For some reason this has been an emotional week for me.  I have no idea why - my treatment is going better than I have any right to expect.  I logged in Sunday morning and spent two hours reading old posts and was so emotional that I was literally sobbing most of the time.  Same thing happened on Monday, but I quit at an hour.  I just haven't been able to participate without being very upset. 

I hope that next week will be better.  It's my last week of treatment and I am ready for it to end.  Well, I'm still struggling, so I'm outta' here.  I'l check in later.

Hey Bill,

Yeah buddy, I know what emotional is about! All we can do is let it out when it comes up and then wait for the next time. There must be some cleansing that takes place or something like that. I don't know about those things but I do know that I feel better after I get rid of the emotion. I choked it down for lots of years and missed a lot of good life because of that.

You are doing great in your treatment and contributing so much to the guys and gals here on the forum. You are one of our stalwarts so please jump in even if it is through tears...

Hey Bill,

The 5 stages of grief...you've hit the stage of acceptance and with that come the flood gates for some of us. Before, you were so busy planning and enduring all that goes with treating cancer. Now you are in a sort of clearing space mode so you will be able to move forward the way only Jet (Bill) knows how...with such a positive outlook! It is no suprise to see a man with your enduring strength having periods of emotional release.
