I just received my fPSA in today’s mail.
My total is still not down to my base line of 1.2 but is down from the 3.2.
I’m thinking Prostatitis from these readings. I just got over a bad case of side and back pain, would Prostatitis cause that?


PSA Total 2.6 ng/ml
Protime 0.5 ng/ml
%Free PSA 19%
%Risk of Prostate Cancer 15%

Would another biopsy be in order in a year or sooner?
Next PSA will be in March ‘07
Any suggestions or comments?

Prostatitis : it can cause pain.

Another biopsy ? : that depends on your full profile and results of your last one.

Did you read the posts here a couple of weeks ago on "PSA DENSITY" ?

Oregon University and The Diagnostic Center Sarasota have had articles about less invasive diagnostic methods.

I think you might wish to read my first post from Jul about my systems. I still have an unanswered question. What did the VA and my PCP feel that made them think I had a lump on my prostate? I mainly posted the fPSA results because I was ask too by Bluebird and others when I get the results.
