Leaking Relaps???

Hey all, Have any of you had this problem. I was moving along with the bladder control. Down to 4 pads / 24 hours. On Thursday evening I just started gushing agian. Has not got much better either. No diet changes. Still staying away from caffene. I did have to lay off walking due to Ice / snow storm. Went to the Y this morning to start back.

Just wondering if any of you have had a relaps like this.

You and I had our catheters removed about the same time as mine came out on November 13th. The week of Thanksgiving I had to travel for a family death and was not able to get my walking in and I did start leaking worst but it was always in the evenings. I got back on the walking schedule this past week and I have done well on the leakage and I am using only one pad during the day and one at night. I am changing the pads more for hygene sake then because they are soaked. I am surprised that your gushing has stayed the same since Thursday. Like most everyone else I have had good days followed by bad ones but the overall trend has been very good. I know that walking just makes it better and that alcohol makes it worse. I bet once you get back to walking in a few days it will get better.

I have the same problem. I am back at work and towards the end of the day I leak quite alot. I had my catheter out Nov 8 and played golf 3 weeks after surgery. I think there is a direct correlation to overdoing it. When I played golf I leaked everytime I bent over to putt and drive and leaked a lot the next day. By the 3rd day things settled down again. Same with bowling I went back to my league on saturday and leaked all the time there and leaked alot that night and sunday. Now on Monday things are more settled and not leaking as much.

I've heard several people here have the same experiences you have, and they all said it gets better. Jeff has been pad free but does have days where he'll leak a little. he refuses to wear the pads anymore at all so he just wets his underwear. :) try and be patient. are you still doing your kegel exercises? remember not to overdo those either. take care, kat
