    Have any of you had trouble getting your insurance to cover Viagra or any other ED drugs?  Blue Cross does not cover them.  Even to get back to a pre surgical condition.  They do have a discount program but it is only about 20% off.  My Dr. has me on 25mg every other day for the next two months.  I have 100mg to use "As Needed"!!!!!!  

    Would appreciate any info you all may have about the Insurance Co.'s

My insurance company does cover it underneath the prescription drug plan. The company I retired from is self insured and Blue Croos administers the health plan except for the prescription drugs which is handled by Caremark(changing to Medco 1/1/07). My co-pay for 24 pills of Viagra was $35. My urologist has me on 25 mgs of Viagra for six days followed by 100 mgs on the 7th. I am in my in my fourth week but no sign of an erection. I have my six week appointment next week and will be seeking to know what I can do different.

we have the federal gov't BCBS and they do not cover ED drugs. Each Cialis pill costs us $12!! there is a web site for generic ED drugs that was highly recommended here, but I can't remember the name of it and I don't have it bookmarked on this computer. I'm sure someone else will have it readily available. it doesn't carry cialis but I'm thinking of getting some Viagra or Levitra and not telling Jeff about it. he said he doesn't trust a web site like that, but I trust others here who have used it. Tamu - my understanding about taking these drugs post-surgery is that it's mainly for blood flow and rehabilitation. I think very few men get erections from them soon after surgery. but those erections will come back eventually. we are waiting for a pump to be delivered and will hopefully be trying it out this weekend. kat

BCBS of Alabama will supposedly cover 8 a month, but I don't know the cost to me yet. I ran into a snag at the pharmacy when they told me BCBS refused to fill the script because I was under 50. Apparently, the doctor has to write up an authorization. I'm still waiting for this to be resolved. My doc prescribes Cialis, 10mg, M, W, F.

The alternative is to go to a place like alldaychemist.com and order from them @ about 54 cents...yes 54 cents for their 100mg. sildenafil (viagra). It takes 3-6 weeks to get them but they do work every bit as well as our 12.00
pills. Easier to cut too. A few folks in here have already used allday. A show of hands please?

I bought Paul's vardenafil and sildenafil (Levitra/Viagra) twice now and haven't found a bad pill in the bunch. I recently paid 68 dollars and change for 40 sildenafil and 10 vardenafil. Allday only sells the higher dose so, cut in half or quarters...you can see how far it'll go.

Being cautious, we only got a small order at first. This last time I ordered quite a bit more. Shipping is 24.60 for a 90 day supply of up to 3-4 drugs. Right now they are offering a buy one get one on the sildenafil. The vardenafil costs 2.00 each and the Tadalafil (Cialis) is 72 cents with a buy one get on offer too. Warning...Tadalafil is the least effective of the 3 for early post-op. Try it, but don't be sure to order one of the others also. Until an order os received you'll have to make due with what insurance pays for.

I went round and round with Blue Cross of California about this. Their plan is through Wellpoint Pharmacy. My Doctor had to send them an Authorization letter. They finally agreed to provide 6 pills per month of Cialis or Viagra at copay price of $20.00. I was on two Cialis a week and now just use the Viagra when necessary. Sometimes I use the Osbon pump but it's all coming along better now since it's been almost two years since the surgery.

Be sure your Docs are writing scripts for the highest dose (Viagra100/Cialis20/Levitra20). No matter how we cut em, it's cheaper :>)

All Day Chemist I got 128 100mg for about $110.00 shipped it is the same stuff as the viagra 100 mg samples the doc gave me. Same identical effect, not kidding.

my husband just started taking cialis. Makes his legs ache. One of the side effects. Just started with the pump also. Hope the viagra or levitra works so that he can get that blood flow going. He had surgery 11/6/06. Just went back to work half days. Age 55.

Swim - I have a question about which ED to use. Jeff has high blood pressure so can he use Levitra and Viagra? I forgot to ask his doctor why he's only prescribing Cialis. Jeff is hesitant to use anything not bought in the USA, but I'm willing to buy them anyway and just tell him to take them. he doesn't question what a doctor recommends, but I can talk him into it. oh well....thanks, kat

I went to the drug store to fill a prescription for 15 20 mg lavitras. He asked if I had insurance because they retail for $160.00. I have United Health Care and the final cost was $60.00. Still too high I think. I will probably look online per Swim.

Hi M. Kat,

There shouldn't be an issue with any of the oral meds and HTN. Some people experience a dip when they take the meds but no real concerns that I've read about. If Jeff hasn't had a problem with Cialis yet, I doubt he will at all. I expect Doc's perscribe Cialis because of it's longer half life of 17 hours copared to 5-6 from Viagra and Levitra.

Paul takes a low dose of lisiopril and the meds don't affect his BP at all. He's always had good results from Levitra but not so much with Cialis. He can use Viagra but it took some getting used to. It does occasionally cause some indigestion. I have read that Cialis reduces the need for HTN meds in men who use it as a maintence medication but that would be an exception I think.

Like I said, I don't take credit for discovering alldaychemist.com A few men on another forum were buying from there and said what a good experience they had so I tried a small order. We discovered how well they work and decided to buy a larger stash. I'm leary of meds overseas too but that's becasue I'm a union gal, not because I think they are all bad!
