Happy Holidays

just thought some good news might be in order. I got my post op PSA results and the levels were undetectable, less than 1%. In the middle of all our healing, it's nice to have something to feel good about. One quick question. My leaking seems to be slowing down, but my urine stream is also weaker than it was say three weeks ago. Pissing is more like milking a cow. Anybody have this experience? I'm worried I won't be able to write my name in the snow.

Could need a little scar tissue removed Birdland. Strictures are pretty common. Sorry about that but hey....celebrate the PSA!

Bird, I still pee like that, well maybe not that bad. A couple of months after my surgery I asked the Doc about my peeing. I told him it felt like a bottle filling up then pouring out slowly over and over till it would stop then 5 minutes later the same thing would happen. The Doc said can you live with it? because if we go in there to try and fix it we may make it worse. I am still filling and pouring 3 1/2 years later. I always feel like I have to pee even right after I finish. I still wonder if I made the right choice??

Birdland,

My stream has held fairly constant since removal of the catheter. I was warned by my urologist that if I did have any slowing of the stream to contact them immediately because it could be a stricture. If I was you I would contact my urologist and make sure that he/she knows of the change.

Hi Birdland,

Great way to go into the New Year. My experience was about the same; the stream is slightly restricted, but not too bad I guess. Maybe you'll have to shorten the spelling to "BIRD" in the snow, and leave off the "was here". In any case have a very Happy New Years.

Dear Birdland,   *&^%$#@     WOO HOO!!   (*&^%$# undetectable!!!   Great News!!!   Thank you for sharing it with us!   Happy Every-Days for sure.   We were also foreworned about scar tissue.   Urologist said if it happened he would do a little snip, snip in the office and we’d be good as new.   Didn’t seem to be a big deal from the sounds of it.   We were fortunate not to have any scaring…     I definitely would have this checked by your specialist.   He may say don’t worry about it but then again…..   you won’t know unless you ask your surgeon...   Spinbiscuit & Birdland ~ you’re both a riot!!!!   Made me giggle……        Birdland ~ Just make sure no one eats the yellow snow!!!!   Congrats on the PSA readout!!!!!   Hope the dark clouds are staying away my friend….   Just keep seeing the rainbows and undetectable PSA #’s and you will move forward.   In Friendship ~ Lee & Buddy
