Bimix, Trimix injections - Can you change formulas once started?

Does anyone have any info on changing from trimix to bimix? I only inject a tiny .03cc and must be VERY precise to avoid 4 hr erections. My Doc is less than enthusiastic about my changing to a less potent trimix. The pharmacist tells me changing my trimix formula won't work. Says that what I am on is a #3 formulation of three possible mixes they dispense. The #3 being the most potent. That once you start injecting, you can go up in potency, not down.

I don't want to give the impression I am unhappy with my mix. The issue is that I would really like to dispense with the refrigeration problem. My wife and I would like to travel without the added pressure of having to plan for our sex life on top of all the other considerations travel entails.

I never really thought to question my mix until I started reading about alternatives here. I have been successfully using trimix for about 8 months.

Changing to Bimix will not solve your refrigeration problem as it has to be kept cold also.

Not to be argumentative but I read from Raheeb, (pg4 - injection therapy thread) and in lots of other places on the web that it does not. I suppose I'll call my Doc and ask him. I just wanted some info on switching before doing that.

I saw the post from Raheeb. All I know is that my Bimix was received in a cold pack and it was noted on the instructions to keep it refrigerated. I had read somewhere else that the shelf life unrefrigerated was three months and refrigerated it is six months. The expiration date on my Bimix is six months from the date of shipment. It now is about four months old and still has the same punch.

Ahhh, That explains it. It doesn't stay potent as long unrefrigerated. My goal is to be able to travel without HAVING to keep it cold. I would pre-load and take only what we could reasonably use. I would keep my home mix in the fridge anyway. My trimix has a 6 month refrigerated shelf life as well. I know from experience it loses potency after being at room temp for a few hours. (what a disappointing night THAT was)

The pharmacist told me the same thing, pretty much, when I picked up the Bimix today. My bad, sorry if I confused anyone. If I understand correctly, though, it (Bimix) does not go bad as quickly as PGE1.

You'll want to start a new thread, as this one dates back to 2007 (aka Zombie).

If you'll ask in a new thread, more guys will notice the single entry and new member.

I will say that the shots (I use Trimix) are not the most pleasant task, and you do have to be cautious, as there are nerves there. Your Uro will go through a test injection to tell you where to inject, and be sure that the dose is enough, but not an ER trip.

Google Franktalk.org for more detailed info on injections. I mixed small amount of trimix with vimix for results. Bi mix will not degrade if carried for a weekend trip. Go for it.

Tried the injections for 12-18 months and could never get the formula right. Even with a uro who had 15 years experience. Bruises. Bloody underwear. No I have a Titan Coloplast implant that, on command, can get as hard as a railroad spike.
