Hi everyone, for the last 12 months I have been experiencing " hot flashes" when waking in the morning and sometimes during the day, is this a symptom of Pca?
regards Mal.

Hi Mal,
Sorry, but as of yet I have not heard this symtom mentioned. Could be a hormone imbalance, but you should consult your doctor.

Hey Mal,
Yeah, like Glen said, it could be low testosterone. Having it checked is a simple test like the PSA test. The doc checks my PSA and testosterone at the same time. I had been on testosterone therapy for years prior to PCa and after surgery was told I could not got back on it. I had a very difficult time due to the very low T level and had to go back on T therapy.
The symptoms are hot flashes, muscle weakness, memory loss and loss of libido and depression. So its serious if it gets out of hand. So its good to get checked out before surgery so that the doc is aware of a potential problem.
Good luck on 7/30...
Jim
