Hi everyone, well only 6 days to go for catheter removal, am coping ok but sure looking forward to the day, am driving, (short distance) doing little jobs around the property, have had a little trouble with the old bowel, (lotsa wind, and going 3-4 times a day) but all ok except I get a bit tired in afternoon and need a sleep.

I have frightened half my bowling club into going for a PSA & DRE, so the Doc around here,should have made enough cash to buy a new BMW!! by the way, my cousins husband went for a DRE also, and his Doc said " there is a slight thickening, but don't worry about it" I told him to make an appointment with a specialist.....what do you think?

Hi maldugs,

It's good to hear from you, and we're glad that you're healing up so well. As for your cousin's husband; he should go for a PSA test asap. This is nothing to fool around with. Tell him if the PSA test comes back clean you'll buy him a beer... Are you bowling already? I have since retired from the sport after 45 years.

Maldugs - Getting rid of Mr. Hang is a great day but it's also the start of a new journey. Good luck and I as most look forward to dry days and nights.

Hi spinbiscuit, I play lawn bowls, but the way I am feeling at the moment think it will be a while before I play again, give myself time to heal up and be guided by Doc, in the meantime just feel happy that they found the Pca and it is out of me. :-)

Hello Mal,

I'm not sure what those lawn bowling balls weigh, but the ones I used to through were just a little more than 15 pounds. So even if they are half that much be careful not to strain yourself too soon.

I hope you are healing up well, and taking in extra protien to help your body mend.
