Early stage leaning towards Proton Radiation any Ideas? 

If you haven't already, click on Bluebird's resources at the top of the PCa forum sceen. You'll find many informative threads by guys (and their wives) who have carefully explored all the options. I know there's a long one on proton therapy. There are even more threads to read if you take the time to browse back in the forum over the last several weeks, even months. There are a lot of other resources, too. Do you have Dr. Walsh's book? If not, get it. It solves a lot of the mystery and (for me) ignorance. It can also be a splash of cold water, too, but information is power! Hang in there.

If you are leaning toward proton beam then it indicates that you are already in the research process. As you study the treatment options be sure to get information from more then one source, especially if that one source is the provider of the treatment. There are trade offs with all treatments. Be sure to understand the longer term impacts out 10 years or more. Proton Beam has received some good reveiws here on this forum and from others that I have talked to about it. It was my second choice of treatment after surgery. If I thought that I could have handled the ongoing mystery afterwards concerning whether or not it was successful then I would have gone that way.
