Julia,

Have not heard from you in some time. We've been thinking about you and your husband and just wanted an update.

You know how us hormone guys get if we don't hear a little gossip every once in a while. nono We get all teary eyed and feel like nobody likes us. We really miss your input. tongue

Hope to hear from you soon. Always in our prayers.

Walt, how funny - I just thought about you today and checked out the website and there was a message from you :)

I haven't logged on for a while due to feeling a bit despairing and not wanting to 'spread the gloom' if you know what I mean.

I so appreciate your kind wishes and prayers and so does Rick (he is not the kind of guy to contribute to forums but does like to linger!!)

Life for us is weirdly normal - can't help thinking sometimes that the doctors have got it wrong. How can a person feel so well and yet be so (apparently!) consumed with a disease, without any outward signs??

Walt, I worry that I am taking a lot from the people on this lovely site and not in the position yet to give very much. Rick and I are still coming to terms with this and don't feel knowledgeable enough to help others yet, much as we would love to.

I really hope things are good with you. You always sound so positive and focussed and so full of life - a brilliant role model for all of us

Thank you so much for taking the time to chase us up, I'll make sure to stay in touch from now on :-)

Please take as much from this place as you want, or need.  Take as much as you can get and don't worry about paying it back.  It's free and there is no obligation at all.  I think that most of the fine people here will agree with me.

Julia,

Don't great mind think alike! Don't worry for one second that you have nothing to offer. Your love and caring spirit for Rick inspires us all. We are all here to help each other. Some with facts and figures and some with love and support. We need it all. Believe it or not, the times I feel the most useful is when someone else is crying out for help. It focuses my mind on their situation and not on mine. We are all care givers here. Les, Bill, and Hagrid are some great examples of this.

Some dear friends of mine "made" me start a web page so they could understand better what is going on in my life. Maybe you could do the same for your friends. It really lets you explain things to them and opens up your journey to others that are not on this forum. Mine is www.caringbridge.com/visit/walterwhited

It has done a lot of good for me and my friends that lead "normal" lives.

You and Rick are in our prayers and thoughts daily along with all that are fellow warriors in our battle.

This is just the best ever site. I can't believe so many people, all going through their own varied and difficult situations, can be so selfless - thank you so much everyone

Walt, I just loved your web page. What a brilliant idea (so typically kind of you to ask visitors to pray for everyone on Healingwell :-) )

I wish I wasn't such a technophobe or I'd do the same thing for Rick. Lovely though it is to know how concerned all his friends and acquaintences are, I know he does find it a bit draining to go over the whole update thing time and time again every day. It would be great to be able to direct them to a sort of bulletin page for information
