Good Morning Doting,
I take Vitamin D. I think it is 1,000 units a day or 4 times the RDA.
I just buy the generic.
I'd prefer to get it from fish oil (e.g., cod liver) sources,
but I haven't found a reliable
(maybe not organic but I'm cautious about
mercury),
inexpensive source.
I am a big fan of the research on Vitamin D, not only for calcium incorporation,
but recent articles on preventing cancer, lower blood pressure, etc.
I am now cautious about
taking multi-vitamins.
(This is an important point!)
As I am not pregnant and there is no chance I will become so :),
I'm avoiding the Folic Acid in these supplements as
research suggests they seem to accelerate all cell growth,
including cancer. Those with a cancer diagnosis must look into this.
I haven't read Dr. Snuffy Meyer's book, but that and Dr. Walsch's
both receive the highest marks here!
You are a saint! Happy All Saint's Day!
