I may have celiac disease. The doctor just recently sent me to the lab as a starting point. I have never in the many years that I've been dealing with these issues had a doctor check into this problem for me. I've been trying to get thyroid and fibromyalgia under control. A person can only deal with one thing at a time. What can i say its embarassing. Anyway, my question is, if the lab work seems to be that unreliable then why do they order it? If mine comes back negative do I suggest further testing or is that something the doctor will determine. I do have other issues with autoimmune diseases such as thyroid problems, hashimoto's disease, raynaud's disease, and i have a very low calcium intake. That's why he's feeling pretty strongly my tummy woes are linked to celiac disease that and a rash I have developed in the last year or so. He may do further investigation on the rash in about a month. I guess after the blood work, colonoscopy results are back. I just don't know. I hate the waiting game. I"m not really going to change my diet just yet. Not until I know for sure that's what it is but I am a lover of breads, pasta, sweets, cheeses even though my body may not always enjoy it after I eat it. Now when I eat I think "Enjoy it while you can"
