I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease about
3 years ago, and I have to admit that I am not very strict with the diet (the CD was found as a fluke, they weren't looking for it because I didn't have classic symptoms) was confirmed with biopsy and blood test, probably the worst thing that my doctor said to me was since I don't have symptoms it's okay to cheat (have since changed GIs). I have been gluten free for the past month and then about
two weeks ago I started getting HORRIBLE stomach cramps, mostly on my lower left abdomen, but sometimes on the right as well. It is a stabbing, burning, crampy kind of feeling. I have also had bloody diarrhea for 2 weeks as well (not bright red, more like a maroon/crimson color). I went to the er last week because I was in so much pain but all they did was blood work and since nothing came up on it sent me on my way with phenergan and vicodin. I'm starting to think that this is something more than CD, since these symptoms are very new to me and I've never experienced pain like this before. I have a call into my GI and waiting for him to call back, but just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this?

Hi, well that sounds more like diverticulosis or diverticulitus, they need to do a cat scan to see.... Good luck..
