I just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience like I feel as I'm a bit confused. After being sickly all my life I was suddenly very unwell last August. After numerous tests I eventually had an endoscopy just before Christmas which proved to be normal - I don't know if they took any biopsy samples but I have a follow up appointment in about
2 weeks. Just before Christmas I was eating quite a lot of digestive biscuits - all I fancied due to nausea - but my symptoms got worse and worse so I decided to give up wheat and dairy. Within a couple of days I was feeling a lot better and for about
3 weeks I've felt better than I have in years.
However, the symptoms are gradually creeping back; I'm not ill and I'm doing everything I need to but I can feel it there in the background.
I have a philosophy on food that you eat for nutrition and am not tied into 'must haves' with food (due to food sensitivities that made me very ill 26 years ago) so although I know I could use some advice I'm not bothered what I have to give up.
Sorry it's going on a bit but I will just list some of my symptoms.
Severe indigestion, nausea, chest pain (in fact all the symptoms of heart attack but heart checks out fine in all tests), dizziness, confusion, exhaustion, insomnia, terrible cramp, twitches, strange feeling in area of diaphragm that affects breathing, severe left arm pain (especially just before needing the loo or breaking wind), restless legs, vitamin D deficient, severe anxiety and depression, bladder problems, irritable bowel, itchy dry skin, occasional strange itchy spots on feet and torso, asthma, buzzing in feet and feeling as though feet are not mine (only way I can describe it), thinking through cotton wool feeling, problems with vision, memory problems, headaches, food sensitivities been worsening for approx 2 years previous - Plus some others i've maybe missed out. Most of these symptoms have virtually cleared since going wheat/dairy free but some are creeping back.
I'm being as careful as I can with the knowledge I have; I cook all my food separate but I do also prepare my family 'normal' food. I do wonder if the gluten free foods are totally gluten free as some of these seem to upset me too.
I am under medical care so am not looking for a diagnosis, just some layman's opinions from people who may have experienced this.
Any opinions very welcome. Thanks for reading and I hope you all have a good day.
