Hi I'm a 22yr old female, I was diagnosed with celiac disease almost a year ago when I ended up in emergency with sever sharp abdo pain in the upper right quadrant, right at the bottom off my rib cage, that radiated through my chest, across the collar bone and up the side of my neck. Whenever I moved wrong or breathed more then shallow or leaned back or laid on my left side I felt like I was being stabbed. All tests done on my liver and gallbladder, ie LFT, bloods, ultrasound, CT scan, all done multiple times, came back that everything was fine with liver and gallbladder. Drs had no clue. Some thought I was faking because high dose codine, then endone, then morphine injection did little to dull the pain. Eventually I was told it was celiac disease with complication of PID.
So three antibiotics two times a day for 10 days eventually dulled the pain. But it came back after finishing the course. So another 10 days, three antibiotics, three times a day.
Pain was duller but still there. Repeat of LFT bloods showed nothing.
Told to take pain relief and wait.
Over the last year the pain dulled for awhile then sharpened. Eventually it faded all together for two/three weeks. Only to return. Not as bad as it first was but sometimes it still radiates and some times the stab of pain is quiet intense. I am really getting sick of it. And my GP and endocrinologists haven't a clue.
And over the last year and a bit I am constantly sick with things like tonsillitis, colds/flu, nausea/vomiting, dizziness/lightheadedness, low B
bp, headaches, fatigue (I worked two night shifts, with is my normal shift as its easier on me, I then slept for the most part of three days), other times I don't sleep.
I always feel horrible and drained of energy and know one seems to be able to help :(
