Hey, cms22. Welcome to the forum.
If you are intolerant of gluten, you really shouldn't eat it at all. Not at all. But there's no reason that your family has to avoid gluten. Just you.
I cook for my family and while it does take a bit more effort to get us all fed, it's not a big deal. When we have pasta for dinner, I use regular pasta for them and make a small bowl of GF pasta for me. When we have sandwiches, they have regular bread and I have GF bread. When I make pizza, I have a GF pizza in the freezer and I make them regular pizza.
The hardest part about adopting a GF diet is that you really have to be careful about processed food. It's healthier for you and for your family to avoid processed foods as much as possible and to prepare your own food from high quality ingredients.
It's really not a big deal. I hope this is helpful.
