Hey everyone! I have some serious questions and this page has helped a ton! I had a colonoscopy about a month ago some red patches but probably from prep and biopsies came back great! Which means colitis meds are working. Thing is Friday I had an endoscopy and my entire upper is inflammed, including my small intestines just pretty much everything. I have a non bleeding ulcer in my stomach, and my esophagus has white blood cells all in there. Anyone have experience with this? I also feel constant ache and extreme fatigue. This can't be related to colitis. The doctor is waiting on biopsies to see what's happening just hate waiting and seeing if ANYONE has insight on this. Thanks!

Usually, during an endoscopy, the GI takes more than 4 tissue samples as the small intestine is vast making it easy to miss damaged villi patches.

Hopefully they can rule other issues like SIBO, H. PYlori, etc.

That's the next step! My biopsy for celiac came back negative during colonoscopy as he was able to reach the bottom of the small intestines I have blood work for it as well on Tuesday and a repeat endoscppy in two months

I believe most of the damage from CD typically is found in the upper portion of the small intestine, though a few people have been diagnosed via colonoscopy.

It sounds like you are on the right track. Keep eating gluten until all testing is complete.

The esophagus white count could be related to EOE:

Crohn's should be ruled out too. It effects the entire intestinal tract.

Hi! I'm new to the forum and I'm going to have an endoscopy on Tues. I have Crohns/Celiac and I'm on a grain free, dairy free diet. The reason I'm going is I have had terrible reflux this past few weeks and was wondering if this (Gerd) is common with Celiac since I was just diagnosed 3 years ago and don't know. I'm thinking the now gastritis on top of all of this is Crohns related. Looking forward to hearing back. Oh, I'm currently taking Pepto Bismal because Prilosec (sp.?) was making things worse. Thank you. smile
