I went to the Dr 2 days ago and should have results tomorrow to post...

Symptoms
Put on weight. It was less than 20 lbs but looked like 40. Round face, when I walked at times felt legs Jiggle. I think it was all fluid now because when strict gluten free...I have Celiac...it melted off in weeks. I am 5'10 and now underweight for my height. At my malnurished weight at time of Celiac diagnosis but don't have the gastro issues other than reflux again.

Exhaustion!!! Went a yr ago for fatigue thinking it was b-12. It was fine. Gluten free helped for a bit but now its exhaustion.

Legs swell.

Every muscle in my body aches when used. Touching doesn't. Using does. My feet have killed me for the last year!

No cold tolerance what so ever. If I freeze at work all day I feel like I have the start of the flu. Ache and nauseous but fine next morning. I wear 5 shirt layers and 2 bottom layers while others have on tshirts and sometimes jacket.

I feel like something is pinching me on my insides.

Welcome to the forum.
Your symptoms sound like hypothyroidism, when you have your actual thyroid tests results, please post them here with reference ranges so that we can help you better!

I just wanted to let you know I haven't gotten my results yet. I know the office should of received them from the lab. I went by to get them and they won't release them to me until I'm given results by Dr or his nurse.

I got my results from the Dr and I'm pretty disappointed. For one he only checked T4 free and TSH, from what I can see, as far as thyroid test go.

T4 free 1.0 (.8-1.8 ng/dL)
TSH 1.74 (mID/L)

I was wrong about when I was last there. It was 6 months ago! Not a year. My cbcthen showed high hemoglobin, hematocrit, MCV and MCH. Now all still high but MCV. 99.7 (80.0-100.0 fL) B-12 now is 357. 6 months ago 441. (200-1100 pg/mL)

How can he say everything is normal? When I went in 6 months ago, 25lbs heavier, but looked like 50, fatigue and round face and now exhausted and legs continue to swell and 146 lbs!

I did read where a high MCV can indicate hypothyroidism. Duh! I feel like Im not being listened to like I was for years till finally a Dr did and diagnosed Celiac. I told him I think I have it but he at least confirmed. I pay them to figure it out.

Round face (moon face) is a side effect of Cortisone, are you taking steroids?

Your TSH is optimal, with these thyroid levels I will feel perfect, but every one is different, your FT4 however is low in it's range, some people need their frees higher than that to feel better.

Did your doctor test TPOab and TGab, if either is positive then you have Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune condition that is associated with Hypo.

Those are tested if your thyroid levels indicate hypO, but symptoms might appear before the labs indicate anything abnormal.

My doctor does not test FT3 also, he says that FT3 is tested in hypER patients, and I am just don't insist on it because I rely on TSH .

He didn't do the TPOab or TGab. He checked for RA and chronic fatigue. My legs continue to swell and my knees especially in back of one and sin on side of other. Swelling or fluid is all over but predominately back and sides. In the mornings when fluid is down the wrinkles are obvious. Even the skin on my calves is wrinkled. I don't have the round face now. I have a gaunt thin face with extremely dark circles under my eyes.
