Please help..I am feeling so unwell and the coldness I am feeling feels so unnatural. Nothing heals the cold not even a heater under my blanket. If you touch me I am cold down to the bone and my anxiety is astronomical. I've never been in this position where my cold couldn't be remedied by the simple heater or drinking hot water. I've now resorted to drinking some cayenne peppers in my tea but it is not ideal.

I have positive HI ANA and positive thyroid antibodies.

These are my most recent results...

TSH 1.95 Range: 0.35-5.00

T4 Free 16 Range 12-22

Free T3 4.0 Range 2.6-5.7

T3 reverse 21.5 Range 9.2-24.10

Sorry you are feeling so unwell.
On another board I have read several times that a lot of people feel better when their TSH is closer to 0.
So although your levels may look like they are in range perhaps for YOU they are not ideal.

Certainly feeling cold seems to be a symptom of being hypothyroid, though in my experience the reverse was true for me. I felt chilled to the bone when I went hyPERthyroid.
I would go back to the doctors and keep telling them you are feeling lousy.

I don't agree with you, a TSH of a around zero means only one thing, hyperthyroidism!

After how much time while on certain dose did these results were taken ? your TSH looks good, but you might need to wait more time to see the correct results.

I think what they mean is towards the lower end of the scale - closer to 0. That's where I'm at now and I personally feel better than towards the higher end of the scale.

I have had hypothyroidism for about 10yrs and I have never been cold like that. I have cold intolerance as well as heat intolerance but with your numbers this doesn't sound like thyroid to me. I do have an issue with my numbers too and doctors that aren't capable of diagnosing by brain power and treating how we feel instead of what the lab says. Have you seen an endocrinologist? Yes it means more tests but at least you have a better chance of getting answers. Hang in there and be the "squeaky wheel" keep coming back, we do care we are all just sick like you and we get on here as much as we can. smurf
