Hope someone can give insight.......I went to an ENT and he ordered a FNA biopsy which came back indeterminate. There were two nodules, one bigger than the other. Just had another ultra sound and it shows the two nodules are now one. The smaller nodule had grown and was highly vascularized. The border of the thyroid looks raggedy and the doctor pointed out that I have very little normal tissue and the gland doesn't look good. It is unclear if the nodule has gone through the border, but she said if it does, it would be cancer for sure.
The nodule that was smaller is now highly vascularized which concerns me.
I am having another biopsy in about two weeks plus a BRAF genetic test. about two weeks ago my TSH was 1.58 (Reference range .40-4.50 mIu), T4, free - 1.4 (Reference Range ,8-1.8 ng/dl), TGA <20 (Reference Range < 20 /ml, Iu), TPO <10 (Reference range < 35 Iu/ml).
I have some other symptoms like the feeling that something is in my throat making me cough, am hoarse more so at times, but all the time. I feel a tightness in my throat at the thyroid level, I get strangled easily and this has been going on for around two years, very tired even with 9-10 hours of sleep. Speaking of which, I am tired and not remembering everything. First biopsy was in Feb this year. I have more data and will pull that paper work out if anyone has any question. I am hoping this looks familiar.......maybe you experience similar symptoms or test results. Thanks!
