I had my thyroid taken out about
18 months ago. Turned out to be benign hurtle cells. However, over the several months this all took, I developed severe health anxiety. They started me on 125 mcg levothroid. It seemed OK at the time, but I was being medicated for anxiety pretty heavy, so who knows. I slowly started to dig out of the pit and put on a few pounds I had lost. The next test showed me a little low at tsh 3.5. So they upped me to 137 mcg. Tsh then was 0.5. I was still being medicated and I noticed little.
Well, I decided enough was enough and I stopped the medications for anxiety and depression. I went back to the gym and gained back the last 10 pounds I had lost. My TSH cam back about
4 again and I was having legs cramps at night and dizziness , so he upped me to 150mcg.
2 weeks later, I had a terrible tension headache, blood shot eyes, forehead pressure, strange feeling when turning head and a feeling that one of my eyes was being pushed down ( it is not). The eye doc said my eyes are fine. I cut my dose down to 142 mcg and it subsided a little. My anxiety is back a bit, has anyone had these symptoms. I have vowed to stop running to the MD for everything and it has worked for a while
