Parathyroid Cancer Patients?

My husband was diagnosed with parathyroid cancer in 2009. He has had many surgeries and radiation, and is beating it.

I realize this is rare, however I am searching for patients/survivors because I believe there are more than
12, yes twelve, cases per year in US and Canada combined.

Even if you have heard of someone else with this carcinoma, please contact me.

We rarely get people here discussing parathyroid issues, as they are completely apart from the thyroid. I did a Google search for parathyroid cancer support groups and found this:

I'm not familiar with that forum, but it might be more helpful to you. Good luck to your husband in his recovery.

I've noticed that you mentioned "Charcot Foot", do you have CMT? Weird, because I've been researching this as well since by daughter's boyfriend has his entire family suffering from this.

I met his cousin who is at Emery University, she has CMT and is working on PHD and researching.

Is there a forum here discussing CMT?

I've never been diagnosed with CMT, and don't believe I have significant symptoms other than the foot issues. I do have mild type II diabetes, but my neuropathy which resulted in the Charcot foot was not diabetes related. Like many of the other issues in my life, no one seems to be able to tell me what caused it.

There is no CMT forum here, although there is a chronic pain forum. Hope the parathyroid forum is able to help you.

I found your post while looking through older threads. I am new to this site and just posted myself about parathyroid cancer.

If you receive my response at this late date and still need someone to talk to, I am a 2012/2013 survivor (barely) of malignant parathyroid carcinoma and would be more than happy to talk and listen.
